The Renaissance Club will be closed until further notice in order to comply with the directive from government agencies as it pertains to bars and restaurants. We believe that this action is in the best interest of our members and guests. We hope to be able to re-open as soon as conditions allow. Thanks again for your understanding.

Letter to Renaissance Club Members:

July 22, 2020

First and foremost, I hope that you are all staying healthy and safe, as well as enjoying your summer. Obviously, the last several months have been very different for all of us. At the Club, the officers, board of directors, and committee chairpersons have met multiple times over the past few months to discuss the possible re-opening of the Club. After long discussions about the regulations that must be followed and laying out hypothetical scenarios of a re-opening, as well as reviewing the results of the survey that we sent out to members last month, we have decided to delay any re-opening until at least September. While we really would have liked to open and begin socializing with all of our members again, we felt that this was in the best interest of the club and it’s members at this time.

In addition to re-opening discussions, we have begun to shift our focus to try and take advantage of the time that we are closed, to address needed repairs and upgrades to our Clubhouse. Some of these upgrades that we are considering are being made to help us adapt to social distancing measures that we will most likely need to follow in order to make a re-opening easier and the Club more readily compliant to state mandates. To assist us with these changes we’re looking to undertake, we are putting out a call to our members for help. We would like to ask anyone who may be a contractor, carpenter, plumber, electrician or other tradesman, or if you have family or friends that are. We hope that they may be willing to help us get these changes and upgrades planned, designed and started. We hope to use that expertise to help make sure these projects are done properly as well as perhaps offering work to someone whose business may have been negatively affected by the pandemic. If you or someone you know can help, please contact us by emailing board member Craig Mahoney at cmahoney02@gmail.com Craig has agreed to take the lead on organizing this endeavor for us.

We hope that our plans will allow us to continue operations once again and to return to the fun and friendly Club we have been in the past.

Thank You.
